About the Role
Rewaa is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to define and lead the technical direction for production-grade AI systems. This role involves designing platforms, patterns, and guardrails that ensure AI systems are shipped safely and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define reference architectures and best practices for AI systems
- →Lead design reviews for complex AI and agentic systems
- →Design scalable RAG and agent-based systems
- →Design resilient systems with retries, timeouts, and graceful degradation
- →Define and monitor AI-specific SLIs/SLOs
- →Mentor senior and mid-level engineers in AI systems engineering
- →Partner with product, data, and leadership to shape the AI roadmap
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience designing and operating multiple AI systems in production
- ✓Deep expertise in LLM orchestration frameworks
- ✓Strong understanding of RAG systems
- ✓Advanced Python engineering with strong system design fundamentals
- ✓Experience building distributed, async, and event-driven systems
- ✓6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- ✓3+ years building and operating AI-powered systems in production environments
