About the Role
We are looking for an Advanced Quality Engineer with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering to join ALSO, an electric mobility company focused on creating innovative, vertically integrated small EVs. This role will serve as the strategic 'Voice of Quality' for our R&D and Engineering teams, embedding quality across the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive upstream quality by partnering with Mechanical Design Engineers to engineer robustness into products
- →Lead precision execution of DFMEA for mechanical subsystems, defining critical-to-quality features and control plans
- →Own the design quality process from start to finish during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase
- →Lead root cause investigations and failure analysis for mechanical failures
- →Act as the liaison between R&D in Palo Alto and overseas manufacturing partners
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a relevant technical field
- ✓10+ years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering, R&D, or NPI in a hardware/manufacturing environment
- ✓Deep specialized knowledge in EV powertrain systems, metal parts manufacturing, or fabrication processes
- ✓Expert ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T
- ✓Deep knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies
- ✓Proficiency with Arena PLM, Jira, and Microsoft/Google suites
