About the Role
Roku is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our automation and tools team. This is a paid 12-week internship starting in Summer 2026, where you'll contribute to strengthening automation or developer tooling projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own an automation/tools project, such as extending a Python test framework or integrating test steps into CI/CD
- →Develop clean, reusable code using Python, TypeScript/JS for web tools
- →Participate in code reviews and write documentation for maintainability
- →Collaborate with engineers across locations to roll out improvements and collect feedback
Requirements
- ✓Solid Python programming skills and familiarity with REST APIs and a web framework
- ✓Interest in CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab CI) and automation/testing frameworks
- ✓Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science or related field
- ✓Experience using Gen/AI LLM tools
- ✓Understanding of QA and testing methodologies
- ✓Strong problem-solving and technical communication abilities
- ✓Proactive mindset with passion for continuous learning and fast iteration
