About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager Data Platform to join our team at Safran.AI. This role focuses on leading the development and operation of an internal platform for AI solutions, supporting data scientists in designing, training, and deploying models at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and operate an internal AI Factory platform for data scientists
- →Lead a team of 5-8 engineers working on data foundations
- →Ensure the platform supports diverse use cases, increasing data volumes, and multiple models in production
- →Maintain high observability, traceability, and reliability for production applications
- →Ensure cloud/on-premise interoperability in constrained environments
- →Collaborate with AI, Software, and Infrastructure teams
- →Manage project interfaces and priorities
- →Communicate data issues internally and foster engagement
- →Lead, mentor, and grow the Data Platform team
- →Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
- →Improve engineering practices in a production context
- →Participate in recruitment and team structuring
Requirements
- ✓At least 5 years of experience in Python back-end development
- ✓Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and initiative
- ✓Strong understanding of DevOps tools (CI/CD, monitoring, logging, configuration management)
- ✓Pedagogical skills and ability to coach colleagues
- ✓Knowledge of ML engineering and MLOps is a plus
