About the Role
Sana is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their Actuarial, Underwriting, and Data Team. This role involves transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights to drive business decisions across revenue, pricing, claims, and other operational areas.
Key Responsibilities
- →Analyze revenue, pricing, claims, eligibility, clinical, and product data to identify trends and opportunities
- →Support actuarial and underwriting decisions through exploratory analysis and performance monitoring
- →Evaluate the impact of care programs and benefit designs on cost and member experience
- →Serve as a trusted thought partner to stakeholders across Revenue, Finance, Care Team, and Product
- →Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for organizational leaders
- →Ensure metrics are accurate and aligned with shared definitions
- →Communicate findings clearly through data visualizations and presentations
- →Collaborate with Product/Engineering on data modeling and pipeline improvements
- →Contribute to data governance and documentation efforts
- →Handle sensitive healthcare data securely and in compliance with regulations
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in data analysis or a related quantitative role
- ✓Strong fluency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
- ✓Advanced experience with Tableau and Mode for dashboarding and visualization
- ✓Experience with Python or R for programming and statistical analysis
- ✓Familiarity with healthcare data (claims, eligibility, utilization, clinical, benefits)
- ✓Experience with version-controlled data transformation using dbt, Git, and Amazon Redshift
- ✓Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate insights clearly
- ✓Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
- ✓Builder’s mindset with a focus on improving existing tools and designing new frameworks
- ✓Clear and thoughtful communication skills
