About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Fulfilment Data Science team at SIXT. This role focuses on optimizing how millions of customers get the right car at the right time through machine learning models that drive efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, refine, and test models focusing on regression, classification, forecasting or optimization that directly impact business outcomes
- →Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and drive projects from problem definition through to implementation
- →Perform efficient, hypothesis-driven EDAs that quickly surface insights relevant to the business problem
- →Keep up with the latest ML research and techniques while implementing simple, robust solutions when appropriate
- →Collaborate with colleagues across the data science team and broader organization
Requirements
- ✓B.Tech/B.E or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
- ✓1-3 years hands-on experience with modern ML techniques including time series forecasting, regression, optimization algorithms, or reinforcement learning
- ✓Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modelling, and production deployment
- ✓Experience using version control (Git) and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- ✓Comfort working with large datasets, writing efficient SQL queries, and preparing data pipelines
- ✓Effective collaboration across business, product, engineering, and data science teams with strong English communication skills
