About the Role
We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a large-scale SaaS platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will take ownership of problem domains and contribute across the full software stack.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and enhance features across the full Ruby on Rails application stack
- →Take ownership of defined problem spaces, from solution design through to release
- →Refactor and maintain existing SaaS functionality to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
- →Implement robust automated test coverage
- →Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- →Manage development tasks end-to-end
- →Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams
- →Build and maintain a deep understanding of system functionality
- →Identify and address technical debt and data quality issues
- →Contribute to platform operations
- →Deploy to non-production and production environments
- →Monitor application and infrastructure performance
- →Support the ongoing stability, security, and availability of the platform
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- ✓Strong experience maintaining production Ruby on Rails SaaS applications
- ✓Proficiency with RSpec for automated testing
- ✓Strong JavaScript experience, including native JavaScript and jQuery
- ✓Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and preprocessors
- ✓Experience building and maintaining scalable REST APIs
- ✓Strong understanding of agile development practices
- ✓Experience using Git and GitHub
- ✓Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools
- ✓Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver work
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Professional, collaborative approach when working across teams
