About the Role
Smiths Detection is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in using AI/ML/DL algorithms and techniques, contributing expertise as a Machine Learning Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, sustain and enhance the technical architecture of Smith’s iCMORE product
- →Study and transform data science prototypes
- →Design machine learning systems
- →Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
- →Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
- →Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
- →Run machine learning tests and experiments
- →Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
- →Train and retrain systems when necessary
- →Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
- →Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
- →Maintain effective communication skills at all levels of the organization
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in using AI/ML/DL algorithms and techniques
- ✓Experience as a Machine Learning Engineer
- ✓Knowledge of solution architecture and design
- ✓Hands-on software development experience
- ✓Ability to apply technical expertise and knowledge of related disciplines
