About the Role
We are looking for a Music Editor to join Spotify’s Music Editorial team based in Taipei. This role involves contributing expertise to various music-related projects, including playlist curation and creative editorial work. You will provide cultural and musical insights to create engaging music experiences for listeners and drive artist discovery through an extensive editorial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and execute a holistic editorial strategy for Indonesia
- →Shape and evolve our editorial voice across playlists, written and visual storytelling
- →Pioneer creative formats to bring playlists to life and deepen connection with listeners
- →Identify music trends, emerging talent, and opportunities in the music landscape
- →Curate cohesive, engaging playlists for Taiwan with compelling descriptions
- →Lead editorial representation in high-impact cross-functional projects
- →Analyze user behavior and performance data to optimize playlist engagement
- →Collaborate with global and regional editorial teams on programming initiatives
Requirements
- ✓At least 8+ years of experience in the music industry, journalism, or media outlets
- ✓Deep knowledge of music and culture across all genres
- ✓Skilled at leveraging data and audience insights to support editorial decisions
- ✓Strong editorial voice and cultural awareness
- ✓Fluent in English and Mandarin
- ✓Excellent communicator with storytelling abilities
- ✓Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability
- ✓Knowledgeable of Google Suite tools and basic design tools
