About the Role

SteerBridge Strategies is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support our F-35 modernization initiative. This role is pivotal in advancing the next generation of aviation technology by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions that enhance the operational capabilities of the world’s most advanced fighter platform.

Key Responsibilities

→Contribute to the design and development of microservices, APIs, and responsive front-ends integrated with complex systems.
→Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Agile methodologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance.
→Participate in architecture and design discussions, offering technical input and learning from senior engineers.
→Implement/Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation for scalable deployments across AWS environments.
→Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, perform peer code reviews, and ensure quality standards across all development efforts.
→Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and mission teams to deliver high-value, integrated software solutions.
→Assist in the development/refinement of data models and workflows—performing problem scoping, data cleaning, analysis, and testing.
→Support compliance with cybersecurity and RMF/ATO requirements to maintain operational integrity and security standards.

Requirements

✓U.S. Citizenship required.
✓Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
✓Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
✓4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experience in complex, production environments.
✓Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
✓Experience working with MERN/PERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
✓Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
✓Familiarity with Docker, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and CI/CD integration.
✓Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
