About the Role
We are looking for a Data Governance Professional to join our team at SunnyData. This role focuses on designing and implementing data governance frameworks that ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define and implement a data governance strategy that ensures trusted, high-quality, and compliant data.
- →Enable business and analytics teams to make better decisions through well-governed data assets.
- →Act as a key advisor on data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
- →Support analytics, data platform, and AI initiatives by ensuring data is reliable, secure, and discoverable.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related roles.
- ✓Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA Certification).
- ✓Hands-on experience with data quality, metadata management, and data cataloging.
- ✓Solid understanding of data platforms, data lakes, and cloud environments.
- ✓Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, data, IT, security).
- ✓Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- ✓Ability to translate business needs into governance policies and standards.
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- ✓Advanced degree or certifications in Data Governance / Data Management are a plus.
