About the Role
We are seeking a Research Associate to lead the execution of corn and soybean nursery seed production. This role involves maintaining quality standards, following safety protocols, and supporting scientists in achieving project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead aspects of packaging, planting, cultivating, note taking, processing, and harvesting in seed production nurseries
- →Maintain integrity of seed inventory, packaging, field layout, pollinating, seed processing, and data collection
- →Operate and troubleshoot specialized seed research equipment
- →Provide daily direction to contract staff and task-specific training
- →Lead complex projects within given budgets
Requirements
- ✓Experience in seed production and nursery management
- ✓Strong understanding of HSE and Stewardship practices
- ✓Ability to operate and maintain seed research equipment
- ✓Experience in data collection and analysis
- ✓Leadership skills to direct contract staff and train FTEs
- ✓Ability to work within budget constraints and meet project targets
