About the Role
The ERDH research associate (field operation) will work closely with the DH lead, DH lab supervisor, and field technician to support the corn breeding team and ensure HSES compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with DH lead and lab supervisor for scheduling ERDH operation activities.
- →Coordinate with the agronomy team for land preparations of induction nursery and baby nursery.
- →Manage the end-to-end process for induction nursery, including crop management (irrigation, chemical and fertilization) for induction plants and inducer plants, pollination, and harvest induction ear delivery to ERDH laboratory based on requirements from the Lab.
- →Manage the end-to-end process for baby nursery, starting from transplanting hardening plants to baby nursery, including crop management (irrigation, chemical and fertilization), pollination, and harvest of individual ear.
- →Coordinate with the MINT team for drying process.
- →Collaborate with DH lead and lab supervisor for seed processing, categorization, and MINT registration.
- →Manage purchasing of consumables for field activities (irrigation tape, drip tape, pollination bag, chemical, and fertilizer).
- →Collect data for induction nursery and baby nursery.
- →Take personal responsibility for HSE compliance, including reporting incidents/accidents/near misses and hazards to the line manager.
- →Take personal responsibility for ensuring adherence to the Quality Policy within the scope of the role.
