About the Role
We are looking for a New Business Development Manager to join Nielsen Sports in Cologne. This role focuses on driving significant revenue growth through new client acquisition and strategic account development across German, Swiss, Austrian, and Eastern European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead generation and prospecting to identify new potential clients and growth opportunities
- →Take ownership of the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing C-level deals
- →Assume full sales and profitability responsibility for a defined client cluster
- →Plan, prepare, and execute high-impact sales pitches and customer meetings
- →Build and maintain a powerful professional network and high-level customer relationships
- →Collaborate on co-development and implementation of sales strategies
- →Strategically develop existing customers by identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities
- →Lead the creation of compelling proposals in collaboration with subject matter experts
- →Act as the primary contact for customers throughout the entire project lifecycle
- →Coordinate the timely and cost-optimized delivery of project results across internal departments
- →Establish and maintain excellent product knowledge across the service suite
- →Ensure close cooperation and knowledge exchange with the Sales & Commercial team
- →Represent the company professionally at trade fairs, conferences, and business events
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in new business development and strategic account management
- ✓Strong understanding of the media, market research, or consulting industries
- ✓Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- ✓Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans
- ✓Experience in managing complex sales cycles and closing C-level deals
- ✓Strong network building and relationship management abilities
- ✓Fluency in German and English
- ✓Understanding of the German, Swiss, Austrian, and Eastern European markets
