About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer, Travel & Disruptions to join Trainline, Europe’s number 1 downloaded rail app. This role focuses on shaping a clear, reliable, and reassuring travel experience for customers, even when services are disrupted.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define how Trainline delivers a best-in-class travel experience
- →Lead design across Travel & Disruptions initiatives
- →Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data partners to deliver experiences on Android and iOS apps
- →Mentor designers, setting direction and raising the quality bar
- →Use insight, craft, and data to continuously improve outcomes
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience leading Product Design or UX within complex, consumer-facing digital products
- ✓Experience designing journey-based, real-time, or service-oriented experiences
- ✓Strong hands-on design skills with high proficiency in Figma
- ✓Experience using research, insight, and data-informed experimentation to improve outcomes
- ✓Confidence designing for all channels, specifically mobile apps
- ✓Experience line-managing and mentoring designers
- ✓Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- ✓Proactive, self-starting mindset with strong collaboration skills
- ✓Curiosity around AI-enabled tools and workflows
