About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic software engineer to join our engineering team at Cairns Health. This role sits at the crossroads of conversational AI, radar technology, hardware integration, and LLMs, focusing on front-end and back-end development for web and mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities

→Code daily to tackle challenges and drive our product to market
→Develop a backend architecture to support our mobile health and wellness app
→Design and develop mobile app features that serve our users
→Optimize our mobile app for latency, concurrency, and uptime
→Take a leading role in creating interactive, data-driven mobile and web apps
→Enhance our backend to power front-end and device features
→Collaborate with a team of accomplished engineers
→Gain hands-on experience with embedded devices, front-end, back-end, AWS, and Kubernetes

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, with 3-5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
✓Proficient in React and React Native for building responsive interfaces, with strong experience in Redux
✓Proficient in Java 11+ for server-side applications and RESTful APIs
✓Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
✓Proficient in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
✓Experience with AWS EKS and ECS, messaging systems like Kafka and MQTT
✓Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
✓Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
✓Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
✓Positive, team player with excellent communication skills
