ABOUT THE RISK PRECISION TEAM Risk Precision is Trustly’s analytical and control-focused capability within Financial Crime Prevention. The team bridges operational insights, data, and risk appetite to ensure our fraud, AML, and other risk controls are effective, measurable, and continuously improving. The team owns the performance KPIs, detection logics, thresholds, and decision frameworks, working closely with Machine Learning, Product, and Operations. The focus is on precision - minimising risk exposure and customer friction while maximising detection accuracy. Risk Precision ensures that how we manage risk is data-driven, transparent, and aligned with both regulatory expectations and business goals. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior AML Data Analyst at Trustly, you take ownership of the data, metrics, and analytical foundations that underpin our AML framework. Your role sits at the intersection of regulatory expectations, risk appetite, and analytical execution. You ensure that AML data is accurate, defensible, and fit for purpose- both for internal decision-making and external regulatory reporting. This role goes beyond building reports. You are responsible for the integrity of AML metrics, the validation and monitoring of detection models, and the translation of regulatory requirements into measurable, data-driven controls. Working closely with AML Operations, Machine Learning, Compliance, and Data teams, you help ensure Trustly’s AML framework is transparent, explainable, and scalable. What you'll do • Own and develop AML regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability across jurisdictions • Translate regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations into clear data definitions, metrics, and reporting logic • Design and maintain AML KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting used for oversight and decision-making • Perform model, implementation, validation and ongoing performance monitoring of AML detection models (rules-based and ML) • Assess model effectiveness, stability, and risk coverage, and document findings in line with governance requirements • Partner with Machine Learning teams to review model assumptions, inputs, outputs, and limitations • Conduct data quality assessments and reconciliations to ensure completeness and reliability of AML data • Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and supervisory reviews with clear, well-documented analyses • Contribute to AML policies, procedures, and model governance documentation • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, transparency, and analytical depth Who you are • Several years of experience in AML analytics, regulatory reporting, or financial crime data roles within financial services or fintech • Strong understanding of AML regulatory expectations, including reporting, model governance, and documentation standards • Proven experience working with data used for regulatory or supervisory purposes • Solid knowledge of model validation concepts, performance monitoring, and risk assessment • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, defensible insights • Comfortable working across data, compliance, and operational teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders • Structured, accountable, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership • High integrity and strong commitment to regulatory compliance and data accuracy Our Fantastic Benefits (varies by location) 🌴 20 to 25 days of holiday to support a healthy work-life balance 🥳 Monthly team outing allowance to enjoy social events with your colleagues ☕ Office perks such as refreshments (coffee, sodas etc.), breakfast, fruit and snacks 🍴 Meal card to enjoy a daily lunch allowance to make your workdays even more convenient 💚 Well being support our health allowance covers gym memberships, massages, and much more to help you feel your best PLUS additional benefits designed to enhance your work-life experience!
