About the Role
Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine empowers creators to build the games of tomorrow. Our Annecy studio is seeking a Lead Rendering Programmer to join the Snowdrop team, playing a key role in the Rendering domain across multiple studios.
Key Responsibilities
- βAssign tasks strategically to team members based on skills, availability, and career aspirations
- βConduct regular individual meetings to provide constructive feedback and tailored support
- βTrack and communicate major progress during meetings and milestones
- βEnsure adherence to quality standards (UX, documentation, testing) throughout development
- βCollaborate with Tech Leads to monitor system performance, technical debt, and code quality
- βParticipate in development (25% of time): programming, code reviews, source control management
- βManage team operations (50% of time): sprint and milestone planning, tracking in Jira
- βEnsure smooth and effective communication with domain teams
Requirements
- βTechnical expertise in rendering and game engine development
- βStrong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams
- βAbility to balance technical challenges and team management
- βExperience with performance optimization and technical debt management
- βProficiency in code review processes and source control management
- βFamiliarity with Jira and agile development methodologies
