About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Solutions Architect to join our go-to-market team at Upbound. You will focus on post-sales implementation of our products and solutions, leveraging your technical expertise in cloud-native solutions based on Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with the pre-sales team to transition customers through post-sales implementation
- →Understand customer environments and requirements, designing architecture and solutions
- →Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane technology in customer production environments
- →Perform technical discovery to scope customer engagements and contribute to Statements of Work
- →Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges during implementation of Crossplane and Upbound Cloud architectures
- →Improve customer deployments by writing code, fixing bugs, and building features within Upbound products
- →Build and maintain cloud native reference platforms to accelerate adoption
- →Work cross-departmentally to solve complex scenarios and integration issues
- →Represent customer needs internally to influence product roadmap
- →Serve as a technical advisor to customers with ongoing solutions
Requirements
- ✓Experience writing and maintaining code that interfaces with the Kubernetes API
- ✓Background in managing production Kubernetes deployments
- ✓Platform engineering/SRE experience with building an Internal Developer Portal
- ✓Deep understanding of highly scaled services across major cloud providers
- ✓Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and business teams
- ✓Experience troubleshooting technical issues with customers or open source community
- ✓Knowledge of Cloud Native Landscape projects, especially CNCF projects
- ✓Familiarity with modern operational tools like Terraform, CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps
- ✓Programming skills in a modern language (Go preferred)
- ✓Ability to work with diverse disciplines and manage multiple projects
- ✓Excitement for defining and scaling engineering and customer solutions
