Lead Product Manager at Vanta

Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it.  As the Lead Product Manager/Product Owner for Business Systems at Vanta, you are the critical owner of the Salesforce and Go-to-Market (GTM) ecosystem. This role serves as the essential bridge between core stakeholders—including Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Legal—and the technology that powers our GTM motion. You will define and execute the product strategy, ensuring we are building, maintaining, and continually optimizing the products and processes required for Vanta's effective and scalable growth. Your focus is on maximizing business impact through clear requirements gathering, strategic prioritization, effective resource planning, and clear communication. This role will report into the Head of GTM Systems & Analytics and work closely with our Salesforce Admin & Developer teams. What you’ll do as a Lead Product Manager at Vanta: - Lead, Manage, and Develop Your Team: Lead, manage, and coach a team of 3-5 Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts, driving high-performance, career development, and strategic hiring to scale the team. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Strategic Roadmap & Prioritization: Define, own, and communicate the multi-quarter Business Systems roadmap, focusing on the Salesforce and GTM ecosystem. Continuously assess opportunities, technical feasibility, and business impact to strategically prioritize and sequence the highest-value work across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and integrated GTM tools. - Requirements Gathering & Solution Design: Serve as the primary product expert, partnering with stakeholders (RevOps, Finance, Deal Desk, etc.) to gather and translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and process designs. Proactively identify risks and areas for improvement, driving solutions rather than simply fulfilling requests. - Delivery Oversight & Resource Planning: Act as the Scrum Master, leading agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives) to maintain a steady delivery cadence. Coordinate and allocate team resources based on capacity and roadmap priorities to ensure successful execution. - Stakeholder Communication & Executive Reporting: Ensure absolute clarity on all initiatives by communicating the strategy, value proposition, progress, and impact of Business Systems work to executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Report on system performance, utilization metrics, ROI, and business impact on a regular cadence. - Platform Ownership & Governance: Oversee the entire product and process lifecycle within the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring long-term maintainability, scalability, and optimal user experience. Establish and maintain system governance frameworks, including security roles, permissions, compliance standards, and data quality protocols. - Change Management & User Adoption: Drive change management initiatives to ensure high user adoption, satisfaction, and effective training programs. Partner with enablement teams to deliver comprehensive onboarding and ongoing support. - Integration & Technical Excellence: Oversee integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM tech stack (Outreach, LeanData, Gong, Clari, HubSpot, Catalyst, etc.), ensuring seamless data flow, API management, and system reliability. - Data & Metrics Leadership: Establish and track KPIs and metrics that measure system performance, business impact, and team effectiveness. Use data analysis and reporting to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive strategic actions. How to be successful in this role: - Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, business systems, or revenue operations, with a proven track record in B2B SaaS environments. - People Leadership: 2+ years of people management experience leading product managers or business systems analysts, including direct experience hiring, developing talent, and managing team performance. - Salesforce Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce platform and GTM tools, including core concepts such as flows, validation rules, custom objects, process automation, and data modeling. Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, or equivalent) strongly preferred. - Product & Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Salesforce modules (Sales Cloud, CPQ) and experience with Quote-to-Cash, Contract Lifecycle Management, Entitlement Management, and SaaS/Subscription business models. - Roadmap & Strategy: Strong experience owning and communicating multi-quarter product roadmaps to senior stakeholders and executive leadership. - Agile Leadership: Hands-on experience leading agile teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. - GTM Technology Stack: Proven experience with modern GTM tools and platforms (e.g., Outreach, LeanData, Gong, Clari, HubSpot, Marketo, Gainsight, etc.) and managing complex integrations across these systems. - Data & Analytics: Strong data and analytics skills, with the ability to establish KPIs, create meaningful reports, and use metrics to drive decision-making and business outcomes. - Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to balance competing priorities, make trade-offs, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex system work into clear business outcomes and influence stakeholders without direct authority. - Change Management: Demonstrated success driving change management initiatives and ensuring high user adoption of new systems and processes. - Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with AI/automation technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem (Einstein, agentic AI, workflow automation) is a plus. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact What you can expect as a Vanta’n: - Industry-competitive salary and equity - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans - 16 weeks fully-paid Parental Leave for all new parents - Health & wellness stipend - Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend - Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office - Family planning benefits - Matching 401(k) contribution with immediate vesting - Flexible PTO policy, plus 80 hours of Sick Time - 11 company-paid holidays - Virtual team building activities, lunch and learns, and other company-wide events! - Offices in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, Tel Aviv, and Sydney To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state.
