About the Role
Vast is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support the development of systems for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This role involves providing advanced technical support, leading initiatives, and mentoring junior technicians in a fast-growing aerospace company.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues
- →Provide advanced troubleshooting for Windows 11, Linux, and macOS environments
- →Monitor, respond to, and resolve incidents in ITSM systems
- →Maintain and support enterprise resources including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- →Support Active Directory / LDAP user administration
- →Lead small-to-medium IT projects
- →Mentor and provide guidance to junior IT technicians
- →Develop and maintain technical documentation
- →Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of progressive IT support experience
- ✓Demonstrated experience operating in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 capacity
- ✓Proven experience with ITSM tools
- ✓Strong troubleshooting experience in Windows 11, Linux, and macOS environments
- ✓Experience with Active Directory, identity management, and access control
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills
- ✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to work independently while contributing to team success
