About the Role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Veo’s API team. This role combines hands-on engineering with close collaboration across teams and partners, focusing on turning integration needs into working solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the end-to-end technical execution of partner integrations as part of Veo’s Public API initiative
- →Work directly with external partners to understand their technical environments and design integration approaches
- →Build production-quality solutions across backend, infrastructure, and occasionally frontend
- →Act as a technical counterpart in partner discussions, clarifying possibilities and trade-offs
- →Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, engineers, and Technical Product Manager to shape scope and priorities
- →Proactively identify technical risks, gaps, or blockers in partner integrations
- →Feed insights from partner work back into the team to inform roadmap discussions
- →Contribute to improving developer-facing documentation and examples
- →Occasionally travel to work more closely with partners
Requirements
- ✓Strong full-stack software engineering fundamentals with experience building production systems
- ✓Comfort working as a generalist across backend systems, APIs, integrations, frontend, and infrastructure
- ✓Experience with API-based integrations
- ✓Experience with Python and TypeScript
- ✓Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces with evolving requirements
- ✓Good judgment around scope and trade-offs
- ✓Confidence engaging directly with partners or customers in technical contexts
- ✓Experience translating loosely defined needs into concrete technical solutions
- ✓Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- ✓Willingness to occasionally travel to work with partners
