About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead Veriff's Face Intelligence team, focusing on Data Science and Machine Learning. This role involves building state-of-the-art ML models for Identity Verification at global scale, with a focus on Face Biometrics, Liveness Detection, and resilience against threats like deepfakes.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists and ML engineers responsible for face biometrics and liveness detection models.
→Define the team's structure and evolution as it scales, introducing strong research-to-production practices.
→Own the end-to-end delivery of biometric ML systems from data strategy to production iteration.
→Drive development of state-of-the-art face recognition, liveness, and anti-spoofing models.
→Partner with Product, Authentication, and Fraud teams to translate problems into ML objectives.
→Work with ML Platform teams to ensure efficient training pipelines and model monitoring.
→Ensure regulatory compliance and responsible AI practices in model development.
→Build a team culture centered on scientific rigor and high-quality execution.
→Contribute to Veriff's long-term biometric strategy against emerging threats.
→Mentor senior data scientists and ML engineers.

Requirements
