About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Developer to join Verifone's global payment gateway platform. This role involves designing, building, and operating backend services that ensure secure and reliable high-volume financial transactions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and develop high-performance, secure microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- βCollaborate with platform, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure system scalability
- βImplement RESTful APIs and ensure data consistency and security in a highly regulated environment
- βWork with MongoDB and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and performance tuning
- βUtilize AWS services, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and operations
Requirements
- β5+ years of experience with Java 17 or higher
- βStrong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Data, and Spring Security with JWT/OAuth2
- βExperience with microservice-based architectures and clean code practices
- βProficiency in RESTful API design and API versioning strategies
- βKnowledge of MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing strategies, and performance tuning
- βExperience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
- βFamiliarity with Docker and containerized deployments
- βStrong background in unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito
- βExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments
