About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Voice RTC team at Vonage. This role involves developing new features and tools for applications that underpin our voice capability globally, with your code being critical in allowing thousands of people to connect via voice every second.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and develop distributed, robust real-time and high-volume production applications for our Voice API platform
→Choose appropriate technologies based on product needs
→Develop and support software using best practices including documentation, testing, deployment and operations
→Apply innovative thinking to all functions of development
→Complete individual tasks end-to-end independently while also working with a larger team

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience in Software Development (at least 4 years in Go)
✓Excellent understanding of core development, algorithms, concurrency and server-side experience
✓Hands-on expertise in advanced GoLang concepts
✓Experience with real-time low latency constraint services
✓Experience developing applications using AWS services
✓Deep understanding of System Design and standard design patterns
✓Experience with development in a Unix/Linux environment
✓Interest in continuing development across new technologies
✓Ability and willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment
✓Flexible with the ability to adapt working style to meet objectives
✓Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
