About the Role
Waymo is seeking a Product Data Scientist to join our Product Data Science team. This role involves working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations to make data-informed decisions that help scale the Waymo Driver safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop a deep understanding of user experiences with Waymo, leveraging qualitative feedback to develop quantitative methods for improving features
- →Run experimentation to measure the effectiveness of in-car features on user feedback and retention
- →Identify gaps for potential improvements and new product features
- →Collaborate with Engineering to develop robust data foundations for measuring new feature performance
- →Collaborate with Product and Engineering on the development of future Waymo platforms and vehicles
- →Build and maintain ML frameworks for forecasting realistic ride-hailing services in new territories
Requirements
- ✓Coding skills in Python and SQL
- ✓Experience with A/B testing and Product Development
- ✓Experience implementing ML algorithms such as XGBoost, Random Forest, and DNNs
- ✓At least 3 years of industry experience
- ✓Strong Communication and Stakeholder and Management skills
- ✓Intuition for when to be scrappy and when to be vigorous
