About the Role
WHOOP is seeking a Business Data Scientist to support its Lifecycle Marketing team. This role focuses on building statistical and machine learning models to help WHOOP grow its business by acquiring, engaging, retaining, and upselling members.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify and scope opportunities where data science can drive member acquisition, engagement, retention, and upsell
- →Build, validate, and iterate on statistical and machine learning models to solve core marketing problems
- →Drive novel model ideation and development, rapidly prototyping MVPs locally for testing and iteration
- →Partner with Software Engineers and ML Ops to deploy robust inference models into production
- →Collaborate with Marketers, Analysts, and Engineers to design, implement, and evaluate experiments
- →Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and experimentation
- →Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- ✓2–4 years of experience in a data science role
- ✓Strong statistical modeling and machine learning background
- ✓Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills
- ✓Experience building reproducible, production-ready pipelines
- ✓Hands-on experience with experimentation frameworks
- ✓Strong business acumen
- ✓Comfort balancing rigor with pragmatism
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
