About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager, Core Data Systems at Warner Music Group. Data is the lifeblood of the music industry, and this role involves managing millions of songs, artists, and complex contracts. You will ensure our data infrastructure is robust and scalable, and our data is highly accurate, balancing complex technical architecture with the real-world needs of our business and artists.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the long-term vision for our "Source of Truth" and lead the roadmap for foundational data systems.
- →Define data contracts and integrations between systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- →Serve as the primary author of technical PRDs and drive data-heavy projects from initial data modeling through to technical delivery.
- →Own the quality of sensitive data and architect solutions that ensure royalty data and rights contracts are audit-ready.
- →Proactively identify brittle data foundations and make prioritization calls between shipping new features and fixing the plumbing.
- →Communicate complex technical changes to non-technical stakeholders and ensure alignment on data principles.
Requirements
- ✓Experienced: At least 5 years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to digital media, data systems, or complex financial/rights systems.
- ✓Savvy & Passionate: Ability to discuss system architecture and data models with engineers and business constraints with executives.
- ✓Systems Thinker: Enjoy mapping out complex dependencies and visualizing how changes cascade through the ecosystem.
- ✓A Master Storyteller: Own the "Why" and adjust communication style for different audiences.
