About the Role We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join Capital One. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance native Android applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications • Build responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose or XML • Integrate REST APIs and backend services • Implement MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack components • Optimize application performance, memory, and battery usage • Develop unit and UI tests to ensure application quality • Troubleshoot crashes, defects, and performance issues • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and release activities Requirements • 9+ years of professional Android development experience • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android SDK • Good understanding of Android lifecycle, threading, and asynchronous programming • Experience with MVVM, Jetpack libraries, and Jetpack Compose/XML • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, Room, and SQLite • Experience with Gradle, Git, and automated testing frameworks • Knowledge of mobile security and performance optimization
