About the Role We are looking for an Apigee Lead Developer to join our team for a contract engagement focused on API management and migration. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement API management solutions using Apigee • Lead Apigee Edge-to-Apigee X migration with minimal service disruption • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements • Develop and maintain API documentation and integration standards • Optimize API performance, security, scalability, and reliability • Provide technical guidance and ensure coding best practices Requirements • Strong expertise in Google Apigee API Management • Hands-on experience migrating Apigee Edge to Apigee X • API management strategy, design, development, and integration • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles • Backend development experience with Java, Node.js, or Python • API security protocols, standards, and best practices • API performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization • Technical leadership, code reviews, and developer mentorship • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
