About the Role
The State of Texas is seeking an experienced ArcGIS Developer to join their team. This role involves developing and maintaining GIS applications and systems for the state.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain GIS applications and systems
• Build new features, modules, and functionality
• Perform GIS data analysis and troubleshoot application issues
• Optimize application performance and address security vulnerabilities
• Maintain compliance with TxDOT policies
• Support end users, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in GIS development
• Strong knowledge of Esri ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcSDE
• Experience with ArcGIS JavaScript API 3.x/4.x, ArcGIS REST API, ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS
• Experience with C# and .NET
• Knowledge of Streamlit, ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, and ArcCatalog
• Experience with GIS application development, deployment, and maintenance
• Experience with ArcGIS map service publishing, tuning, and troubleshooting
Strict Location Requirements
Candidates must currently reside in the Austin area, Texas. Active Texas Driver’s License and LinkedIn profile are mandatory. No out-of-state candidates planning to relocate. Must be available for an in-person client interview if required.
