About the Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for an 8-month contract position in Raleigh, NC. This role requires local candidates with a valid driver's license. Key Responsibilities • Automate Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using tools like Ansible • Manage source code with BitBucket or Git, including branching, merging, configuring, and administering • Automate build/deploy processes including database changes using Ansible • Develop automation scripts, operational utilities, and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell • Build and package applications with Docker and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes • Provision, configure, and manage environments using Terraform and Ansible • Develop and manage CI/CD (DevOps) pipelines using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, and Ansible Requirements • 7+ years of experience automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades using automation tools • 3+ years of hands-on experience with BitBucket or Git Source Code Management • 7+ years of experience in automating build/deploy processes • 7+ years of experience developing automation scripts and workflow utilities • 2+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes • 4+ years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and environment management • 2+ years of experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
