About the Role We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join a leading insurance technology team. This role involves building a modern Playwright automation framework from the ground up and delivering high-quality digital solutions. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain a scalable Playwright automation framework • Convert manual test cases into automated UI and API test scripts • Develop and execute end-to-end, functional, regression, and API automation tests • Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and support defect resolution • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to improve quality and test coverage • Support CI/CD automation initiatives and testing best practices Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright • Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript • Experience with UIAutomation and APIAutomation • Strong understanding of locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, debugging, and reporting • Experience translating business requirements and manual test cases into automated tests • Good understanding of SDLC, SIT, UAT, Agile, and QA best practices
