About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented AV Quality Assurance Specialist to help solve one of the biggest challenges in autonomous driving: unlocking high-quality, real-world, long-tail driving data. This role focuses on analyzing fleet logs, investigating disengagements, identifying edge cases, and ensuring high-quality data for autonomous driving systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze real-world autonomous vehicle logs, driver interventions, system overrides, and disengagement events.
• Perform first-level root-cause analysis and classify software, hardware, and sensor-related anomalies.
• Enrich driving data with structured metadata, diagnostic notes, issue tags, and Jira links.
• Track issues from initial identification through engineering handoff and resolution verification.
• Test and validate automated triage tools, scripts, and diagnostic dashboards.
• Collaborate with system validation engineers, software teams, and field operations.
• Identify recurring edge cases, hardware dropouts, and data annotation inconsistencies.
• Follow standardized SOPs to maintain accuracy, consistency, and safety.
Requirements
• 1–2+ years of experience in QA, technical operations, data triage, or software/hardware testing.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles (AV), ADAS, robotics, aerospace, or other safety-critical industries.
• Basic proficiency in Python, Bash, or SQL for log analysis and data filtering.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, issue tracking, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of software validation, debugging, and system troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a safety-first mindset.
