About the Role We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Architect to join our team in the Pharma / Biotechnology / Life Science domain. This role requires extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable enterprise AWS Data Architectures and leading Data Engineering teams. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable enterprise AWS Data Architectures • Architect Data Lake / Lakehouse solutions and end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines • Lead Salesforce-to-AWS data integration • Define enterprise data models and BI architecture standards • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and team mentoring • Ensure data security, governance, performance optimization, and CI/CD best practices Requirements • 13+ years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in Data Engineering & Analytics • 6+ years of hands-on AWS Data Architecture experience • Strong expertise in AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR, Lake Formation, Kinesis, and RDS • Strong experience in Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture and ETL/ELT pipeline development • 3+ years of experience integrating Salesforce Sales Cloud / Service Cloud with AWS data platforms • 3+ years of experience leading Data Engineering teams as a Technical Architect / Technical Lead • 4+ years of hands-on Tableau experience, including dashboard development, data modeling, and performance tuning • Strong SQL, Python/PySpark, advanced data modeling, and query optimization skills • Experience with batch and real-time data processing, streaming architectures, and CI/CD • Knowledge of Data Governance, IAM, encryption, Terraform / CloudFormation, and DevOps practices
