About the Role We are looking for a hands-on AWS Security Engineer with strong application development, cloud security, and automation expertise to join our team. Key Responsibilities • AWS Security: IAM, least privilege, permission boundaries, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC, and S3 security • Application Security & Development: Strong Python, Go, or similar programming skills; secure coding, OWASP, API security, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and security automation • DevSecOps & Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, CI/CD security, Checkov, tfsec, OPA, Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge • Cloud Monitoring & Incident Response: CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, SIEM integration, security alerting, and automated incident containment • Security Engineering & Collaboration: Work closely with application development teams, establish security standards, document solutions, and communicate effectively with technical teams and leadership Requirements • Minimum 13+ years of professional experience • Local candidates only — Irvine, Orange County, or surrounding areas • Must be comfortable working onsite Monday through Thursday, with Fridays generally remote and occasional Friday onsite attendance as needed • Excellent English communication skills are mandatory • USC / Green Card candidates are strongly preferred
