Job Description:
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-availability cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure services, cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps practices, and will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and supporting enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Lead cloud architecture decisions ensuring scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Manage and enhance Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, and Security.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Ensure cloud security best practices, including identity management, network security, encryption, and compliance.
• Support application migration from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure.
• Collaborate closely with application teams, DevOps, security, and architecture teams.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and contribute to cloud standards and best practices.
• Participate in on-call support and incident resolution for production systems.
Required Skills:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
• Strong expertise in core Azure services:
• Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS.
• Azure Virtual Network, Load Balancers, Application Gateway.
• Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.
• Azure Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and automation.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
