About the Role We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team for a long-term remote position. This role requires candidates to be local to Virginia or near Virginia. Key Responsibilities • Administer and engineer Microsoft Azure environments • Support VDOT / E-ZPass Virginia tolling applications, infrastructure, and cloud workloads • Implement Rubrik backup and recovery for Azure IaaS/PaaS • Script with PowerShell and Python • Utilize continuous integration tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, and TFS • Administer SecretServer privileged access vaults • Work with Office 365 and Power Apps platforms • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent • Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes • Manage PCI or similar compliance frameworks • Handle Key Vault, secrets, and certificate management • Administer Single Sign-On and identity using Entra ID Requirements • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure administration/engineering • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows environments (2019+) • Strong understanding of server infrastructure, protocols, firewalls, certificates, and load balancers • Experience with networking, server administration (Windows/Linux), databases, and cloud environments • 2+ years of experience supporting VDOT / E-ZPass Virginia tolling applications • 2+ years of experience with Rubrik backup and recovery for Azure IaaS/PaaS • 2+ years of scripting with PowerShell and Python • Experience with continuous integration tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, TFS) • 2+ years of experience with SecretServer privileged access vaults • 1+ years of experience with Office 365 and Power Apps platforms • 1+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent) • 1+ years of experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • 1+ years of experience with PCI or similar compliance frameworks • 1+ years of experience with Key Vault, secrets, and certificate management • 1+ years of experience with Single Sign-On and identity administration (Entra ID) • Azure certification (AZ 104, AZ 305, or similar) desired • Experience with enterprise governance models desired • Experience analyzing cloud cost trends and delivering cost optimization recommendations desired • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktops desired
