About the Role We are seeking a Backend .Net Developer to join our team at Green Dot. This role involves working on a Banking as a Service (BaaS) platform using cloud native techniques. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of APIs and microservices that support BaaS onboarding and partner integration • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and best practices in CI/CD, testing, and observability • Ensure compliance with SLA standards and contribute to the development of monitoring and alerting systems • Lead incident response and root cause analysis to improve system reliability • Drive architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy for BaaS platform • Champion emerging technologies evaluation and adoption • Refactor and extend the existing codebase to fix defects and add features/functionality • Create systems that are durable and flexible by developing for change favor configurability over customization Requirements • 14+ years of experience with native applications in Azure or AWS • Experience with Azure native services such as APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault • Knowledge of container technologies and caching frameworks • Strong understanding of APIs and web services: RESTful API design, OAuth2, and OpenAPI specifications • Experience with SOAP and XML/JSON business object representations • Expertise in designing and building microservices frameworks, event-driven patterns, and software design patterns • Proficiency in DevOps and delivery: Git, CI/CD processes, build tools, and pipelines • Familiarity with observability platforms like Datadog and Grafana • Experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Extreme Programming • Knowledge of security best practices in financial services and compliance standards like PCI DSS and SOC 2 • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with iterative project turnarounds on mission- and revenue-critical, customer-facing applications
