About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Backend OTA (Over-The-Air) Tester to join our team. This role focuses on testing, validating, and ensuring the reliability of backend update mechanisms, firmware/software distribution systems, and deployment infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Test and validate OTA update delivery, firmware/software distribution, staged/progressive rollouts, database integrity, and rollback/recovery procedures • Develop test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Java, Go, or C++ • Perform RESTful API testing using tools like Postman and Insomnia • Conduct performance and load testing using utilities like JMeter, LoadRunner, and pytest • Write SQL queries and perform basic NoSQL operations • Utilize command-line scripting with Bash and PowerShell • Work with Git version control, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Requirements • 2+ years of experience in backend QA testing and OTA update systems • Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or C++ for test automation • Strong hands-on experience with RESTful API testing tools • Practical expertise in writing SQL queries and basic NoSQL knowledge • Experience with command-line scripting (Bash, PowerShell) • Familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, and monitoring tools • Prior experience in IoT, connected device management systems, and network protocol troubleshooting is highly preferred
