About the Role We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract. This role focuses on securing AWS cloud infrastructure and applications. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement security measures for AWS cloud infrastructure • Monitor security alerts and investigate incidents • Support incident response activities • Ensure compliance with security baselines and governance controls • Administer IAM roles and implement least-privilege principles • Deploy infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation • Perform vulnerability management, remediation, and patching Requirements • 5+ years of overall IT experience, including infrastructure, networking, operating systems, databases, applications, and cloud technologies • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and applications • Strong working knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Lambda • Experience with AWS security services: IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config, CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager, and Control Tower • Knowledge of IAM administration, role-based access, and least-privilege principles • Experience monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, and supporting incident response • Familiarity with vulnerability management, remediation, patching, and compliance audits • Understanding of cloud security baselines, governance controls, and security documentation • Exposure to Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure deployments • Linux administration, networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security groups • Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash Ideal Candidate A self-motivated professional with strong troubleshooting, communication, analytical, and teamwork skills who can support AWS cloud security operations in an integrated team environment.
