About the Role We are looking for an experienced Cloudflare Architect to lead architecture design, migration strategy, technical governance, and implementation planning for large-scale enterprise applications, specifically focusing on Akamai-to-Cloudflare migrations. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end assessment and architecture design for migrating applications from Akamai to Cloudflare • Define target-state CDN and WAF architecture, migration strategies, and implementation approaches • Assess and map existing Akamai configurations to equivalent Cloudflare services and capabilities • Design Cloudflare CDN, WAF, traffic routing, caching, and web application security solutions • Develop migration plans, cutover strategies, rollback methodologies, and risk mitigation approaches • Provide technical governance, architecture reviews, and migration oversight • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams • Support migration cutover, post-migration stabilization, and knowledge transfer Requirements • 8–10+ Years of experience in CDN, WAF, Application Delivery, and Web Application Security • Minimum 3+ Years of hands-on Cloudflare CDN and WAF implementation experience • Strong experience in enterprise-scale Akamai-to-Cloudflare migration assessments, architecture, and planning • Proven ability to lead architecture design, migration governance, cutover, and rollback planning • Minimum 3 Years of hands-on experience with Cloudflare CDN & WAF • Akamai CDN & Property Manager expertise • Akamai-to-Cloudflare Migration Expertise • Kona WAF & Cloudflare Security Solutions knowledge • CDN Architecture & Optimization skills • DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP & OSI Model understanding • SSL/TLS & Traffic Routing experience • Caching Technologies & Load Balancing expertise • Web Application Security knowledge • Network Troubleshooting & Traffic Analysis skills
