About the Role We are looking for a Data Architect to join Themesoft Inc. for a 6-month contract. This role involves leading enterprise data modeling and data fabric architecture, focusing on Microsoft Fabric technologies. Key Responsibilities • Lead enterprise data modeling and data fabric architecture • Define conceptual, logical, physical, canonical, and semantic models across business domains • Implement and manage Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Power BI Semantic Models • Develop and maintain enterprise ontology, domain modeling, dimensional/star schema, Data Vault, canonical models, data contracts, and source-to-target mappings • Manage Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, and Apache Hudi, including ACID transactions, snapshots/time travel, schema and partition evolution, compaction, retention, and file lifecycle management • Handle CDC, MERGE/UPSERT, deduplication, deletes, SCD, late-arriving data, incremental processing, and medallion architecture • Utilize Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Trino, and cross-engine data interoperability • Work with Power BI/DAX, Microsoft Purview, data catalogs, business glossaries, lineage, governance, RBAC, sensitivity labels, and data quality • Establish enterprise modeling standards, data contracts, design reviews, and reusable implementation patterns Requirements • 10+ years of experience in data architecture • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric • Expert knowledge of enterprise ontology, domain modeling, and data contracts • Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, and Apache Hudi • Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Trino • Experience with Power BI/DAX, Microsoft Purview, data catalogs, and data governance • Strong stakeholder leadership skills
