About the Role We are seeking a Data Ingestion Developer with extensive PostgreSQL experience to join our team. This role involves working with high-volume data processing, system integrations, and database performance optimization. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain data ingestion processes using PostgreSQL • Troubleshoot database performance issues involving locking, blocking, deadlocks, and resource utilization • Design and implement system integrations, data pipelines, and APIs • Monitor production systems, resolve incidents, and perform root-cause analysis • Implement asynchronous processing, batching, retries, and error handling mechanisms Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field • 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience including administration, query optimization, and performance tuning • Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery procedures • Strong troubleshooting skills for database performance issues • Experience with system integrations, data pipelines, and background processing services • Understanding of messaging technologies like PostgreSQL LISTEN/NOTIFY, RabbitMQ, or MQTT • Experience with production monitoring, logging, and incident resolution • Proficiency with Git and Jira Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and TempDB troubleshooting • Siemens Opcenter/MOM, DIS, EX FN, and MES integration experience • 5+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development experience • Experience with manufacturing BOP/master data and automotive/battery manufacturing • Experience supporting high-volume data ingestion and distributed systems
