About the Role Mastek is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join their team. This role involves developing and maintaining enterprise-wide data models to support analytics and AI applications. Key Responsibilities • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models • Design dimensional models, including Star and Snowflake schemas • Create detailed Source-to-Target (S2T) mappings with transformation rules and business logic • Define enterprise-wide data entities, relationships, keys, hierarchies, measures, and KPIs • Design and maintain semantic, ontology, and context layers • Build scalable data models to support Power BI, Sigma, analytics, and AI/GenAI applications • Collaborate with data engineering, BI, business, and AI teams • Maintain data dictionaries, business definitions, and modeling documentation Requirements • 8–12 years of experience in data modeling • Strong expertise in Enterprise Data Modeling • Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse • Strong SQL skills — Joins, CTEs, Window Functions & Aggregations • Experience with Source-to-Target (S2T) Mapping • Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling, Star & Snowflake Schemas • Understanding of Fact and Dimension Modeling, SCD, Normalization • Familiarity with North Star Data Model or similar enterprise-wide canonical data models • Knowledge of Semantic Layer, Ontology & Context Layer concepts Preferred Skills • Retail domain experience across Product, Customer, Store, Sales, Inventory, Pricing, Promotions, E-commerce, and Retail Media • Experience with Power BI and/or Sigma • Understanding of data models supporting AI/GenAI applications
