About the Role We are looking for a Solution Architect / Tech Lead with expertise in Databricks and AWS to join a transport sector company. This role involves working within a group data platform team, serving as the technical reference for project squads from scoping to production and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical expertise to project squads from scoping to service deployment • Support Tech Leads with architectural choices and DAT documentation • Potentially take on Tech Lead responsibilities for certain projects • Onboard teams and disseminate development best practices • Contribute to core components through technical scoping and potentially development • Provide expert level 3 support in production (MCO, root cause analysis) • Participate in PoCs, demos, and Scrum ceremonies Requirements • Minimum 8 years of experience as a developer or Data Engineer with Spark and Scala (batch and real-time pipelines) • Minimum 2 years of experience with Databricks as a Data Engineer, including 2 years on AWS (eliminatory criterion) • Official Databricks Developer certification • Experience with integration and production deployment using Terraform, Jenkins, or GitLab CI • At least 2 years in Scrum teams • Data governance and GDPR knowledge • Ability to coach, audit, and train developer teams (trainings, demos, REX appreciated)
