About the Role We are looking for a Data Quality Engineer to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role focuses on ensuring data quality through automated testing and validation processes. Key Responsibilities • Validating and reconciling data to ensure target matches source, counts add up, and business rules hold • Automating tests by turning every rule into a check that runs on its own with each data load • Monitoring data loads to alert when they drift from expected volume or freshness • Reporting and prioritizing findings with evidence and impact, following them to root cause • Documenting validation standards and acceptance criteria Requirements • Hands-on data testing experience with SQL and Python • Experience with a framework like Great Expectations, Soda, dbt tests, or Deequ • Focus on data quality rather than application QA Benefits • Real ownership in defining how data quality is done • Visible impact by catching issues before they reach clients • Craft over manual work with an engineering role built on automation
