About the Role We are looking for a Database Administrator to join the State of Michigan (CEPI) team. This role focuses on managing and modernizing the Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS). Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines, and help move them from on-prem to the cloud • Own data modeling (logical and physical), performance tuning, and database security • Manage a large SQL Server environment: 35+ collection databases and 100+ analysis databases • Troubleshoot, run root cause analysis, and support disaster recovery • Partner with developers and business teams to deliver high-quality data Requirements • 12+ years of experience • T-SQL (8-10 yrs) and ETL development (6-8 yrs) • Azure Database Services and SQL data modeling • PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and Scrum (5 yrs each) • Strong written and verbal communication
