About the Role The State of Texas is seeking a Senior Database Developer to join their team. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Oracle database development, SQL optimization, and various database technologies. Key Responsibilities • Develop complex database logic and optimize SQL queries • Support reporting and ETL processes • Troubleshoot application-level database issues • Build and maintain data processes and generate accurate reports • Work with JSON data within Oracle database tables • Collaborate with application teams for troubleshooting Requirements • Minimum 14+ years of overall IT experience • 8+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL • 8+ years of experience with SQL Server / T-SQL • 8+ years of complex SQL development and performance tuning • 4+ years of JSON processing within Oracle • Strong JasperReports and ETL experience • Experience with data integration and data mapping • Experience with Java/.NET application troubleshooting • Strong unit testing and Agile development experience • JIRA and Bitbucket experience • Previous work experience with any State Education Agency is required
