About the Role We are seeking a Database Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our team. This role involves managing and optimizing database systems, with a focus on AWS services and various SQL databases. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain database systems • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues • Ensure database security and implement access controls • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes • Collaborate with application and data engineering teams Requirements • 10+ years of experience in Database Engineering or DBA • Expertise in AWS Database Services including RDS, Aurora, and Redshift • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server • Strong SQL skills and query optimization experience • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform • Knowledge of database security, normalization, and indexing • Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery • Database installation, configuration, and upgrades • Capacity planning and infrastructure optimization • Incident troubleshooting and production support • Database documentation and runbooks
